            <abstract>WCHYDRO and WBHYDRO together make up the most complete and up to date hydrography layer for the State of Washington. WBHYDRO contains waterbodies represented as polygonal features and shorelines represented as polygon perimeters. WBHYDRO includes features such as Puget Sound, lakes, wet areas, reservoirs, impoundments, glaciers, islands, and dams. WBHYDRO and WCHYDRO are edited daily and simultaneously; updates are posted weekly for internal DNR use and monthly for external use. Attribute interrelationships within WBHYDRO and spatial and attribute interrelationships between WBHYDRO and WCHYDRO are maintained.Obtained from the Washinton Department of Natural Resources website.  Has been modified by L. Sievers to better suite Tacoma Water needs.</abstract>
            <purpose>The Watercourse (WCHYDRO) and Water Body/Water Shoreline (WBHYDRO) Hydrography layers support the implementation of the new Forest Practices Fish Habitat Water Type Map. The Forest Practices Water Typing system was developed and is maintained solely for the regulation of forest practices (WAC 222). The primary purpose of WCHYDRO and WBHYDRO is to aid in the application of timber harvest and other forest practices regulations and activities by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Other uses include cartography and analysis where hydrographic data is required.</purpose>

        <idPurp>The Watercourse (WCHYDRO) and Water Body/Water Shoreline (WBHYDRO) Hydrography layers support the implementation of the new Forest Practices Fish Habitat Water Type Map. The Forest Practices Water Typing system was developed and is maintained solely for the regulation of forest practices (WAC 222). The primary purpose of WCHYDRO and WBHYDRO is to aid in the application of timber harvest and other forest practices regulations and activities by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Other uses include cartography and analysis where hydrographic data is required.</idPurp>
        <idAbs>&lt;DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;WCHYDRO and WBHYDRO together make up the most complete and up to date hydrography layer for the State of Washington. WBHYDRO contains waterbodies represented as polygonal features and shorelines represented as polygon perimeters. WBHYDRO includes features such as Puget Sound, lakes, wet areas, reservoirs, impoundments, glaciers, islands, and dams. WBHYDRO and WCHYDRO are edited daily and simultaneously; updates are posted weekly for internal DNR use and monthly for external use. Attribute interrelationships within WBHYDRO and spatial and attribute interrelationships between WBHYDRO and WCHYDRO are maintained.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Obtained from the Washinton Department of Natural Resources website.
